We will work on using Linklater techniques to touch sound, engage our breath, find the correct placement for our body and work on expanding our breath support. This can be offered within our acting class or as a separate session where we can go more in-depth with this amazing work. I use these techniques with all my studios, starting at the 5-year-old level made for their understanding and moving on up through adults.

DIALECT WORK

DIALECT WORK

Many roles need us to use an accent. I am here to help you work on your IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), learning the placement of sound within each dialect. IPA basics book provided. Homework is given for this and practice outside of our class is expected.

SINGING LESSONS

SINGING LESSONS
(beginner through advanced / child through teen)

Does you or your child love to sing? This class will teach a safe and healthy way to strengthen the voice. We will work on warm-up techniques, how to protect the voice and the correct ways to use the voice. I focus greatly on how to connect with a song and how to tell a story with melody and words. We will work on confidence and trusting your ability to sing beautifully! For those looking to audition for musical theatre shows, we will start creating a book of audition cuts that you can have readily available for any upcoming audition.
